The 4-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the 6-4 Atlanta Falcons today, as the former try to latch on to its last remaining bit of hope, while the Falcons hope to stay in the thick of the playoff race.
Both teams are on a two-game winning streak, and have some momentum on their side—which would suggest that the Bucs at least have a decent chance of winning the game. If we ask the bookies, though, the Falcons will tie up the all-time series: they’re 8.5-point favorites, making the Bucs a massive, humongous underdog to win.
That’s because, quite frankly, the Falcons are a much better team. But ‘much better’ is not the same as invincible, and the Bucs are certainly capable of beating the Falcons on a good day. They’ll have to have a good day without Jameis Winston, who’s still struggling with a shoulder injury, and without Robert Ayers, leaving them with very few pass-rushers, though.
