Who will win the right to call themselves the second-best Florida team?

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Miami Dolphins Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins face off today, as they battle for the right to call themselves the second-best NFL team in Florida. The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently number one, through some miraculous turn of events.

The Bucs finally snapped their losing streak last week, and desperately need to find some extra wins if they don’t want Dirk Koetter to be fired at the end of the season. The Bucs could walk out of today’s game with a 4-6 record, which looks a lot better than the 2-6 record they were spouting two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins are somehow still alive in the playoff race, despite starting Jay Cutler for the entire season. Now that’s impressive. Can they hold on against the Bucs, or will the Tampa Bay defense step up and deliver on the promise they’ve shown in recent weeks?

Here’s your first open thread for today’s game.
