Tom Brady threw his first pick in 264 attempts, to Justin Evans

The Buccaneers rookie picked off Brady in his very first start.

Tom Brady has thrown an interception for the first time in 264 pass attempts. And the guy who picked him off was Tampa Bay Buccaneers second-round rookie Justin Evans, making his first NFL start. How about that?

Beautiful.

To be fair, that was mostly just a bad throw by Tom Brady—either that, or some horrendous miscommunication. But Evans makes a great adjustment to pluck the ball out of the air--something other Bucs safeties really haven’t done in eh...years. I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve seen balls like that just sail past rather than into the hands of defensive backs.

The Bucs couldn’t take advantage of that turnover, though, with the Bucs going three-and-out and Bryan Anger having his first mediocre punt of the season. The Bucs and Patriots are still tied at 0.
