The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will start Jameis Winston again, despite a continuing shoulder injury. That’s what ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports, at least, and it’s no surprise: Winston played through the same shoulder injury last week.
No surprise but Bucs’ QB Jameis Winston, listed as questionable for Sunday vs Panthers due to right shoulder injury, will start, per source.

Winston sprained the AC joint in his throwing shoulder two weeks ago, which caused him to miss about half a week. Quarterbacks can generally play through that injury, though it may affect their throwing motion and they’ll have to handle pain. Winston’s injury did seem to affect him last week, but he still had one of the better games in his career, against a very tough Buffalo Bills defense.
In fact, Winston is having a breakout season and has been performing as a clear top 10 quarterback this year. That’s gone under the radar, in part because the Bucs have won just two games this year. If Winston continues to play at a high level, the team could turn that around quickly, though.
