The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted O.J. Howard in the first round knowing that the big tight end might take a while to really get going as a receiver: tight ends generally need a year to get used to the NFL anyway, and Howard wasn’t used much as a receiver at Alabama.
Howard’s getting to the point where he can be productive, though, and he’s in the middle of a breakout game against the Buffalo Bills. With four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown on four targets, he’s certainly showing up.

Howard’s having a field day today, and that’s very promising for the future. Also promising: Jameis Winston having a massive day against one of the best defenses in the NFL, and with no running game to speak of.
The Bucs are down 17-13, but this looks like a very winnable game. If, that is, the defense shows up as well.
