The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost Jameis Winston to a shoulder injury, but it seems he’s not entirely done for the day. Head coach Dirk Koetter told radio sideline reporter T.J. Rives that Jameis Winston would be available in an emergency only.

That’s fairly weird. Is being down 24-0 not an emergency now? Or did Koetter give up on trying to win this game midway through the second quarter. Or would Winston be severely limited in his capabilities if he were to take the field now?
Whatever the case, the Bucs are down 24-0 and almost certain to lose this game, what with Ryan Fitzpatrick being in the game. The tiny sliver of hope here is that Jameis Winston hasn’t been ruled out entirely, and that his being available as an emergency quarterback suggests his season isn’t over.
That’s it, though. It’s a pretty bleak day for Tampa Bay otherwise, as the team’s getting thoroughly dominated in every facet of the game.
