The Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the Arizona Cardinals today, as the Bucs hope to get back into the NFC South race and the Cardinals hope to rescue what remains of their season.
The Bucs are two-point favorites, but have been pretty disappointing so far this season. A win, especially a dominant one, would go a decent way toward restoring some hope in the Bucs fandom—especially if Patrick Murray manages to actually hit all of his kicks.
With T.J. Ward and Lavonte David returning today, the Bucs are only missing one significant player to injury: middle linebacker Kwon Alexander, whose been out early in the first game of the season. He’s been replaced pretty impressively by rookie Kendell Beckwith, though.
Meanwhile, this is also the game of returning running backs. Doug Martin plays his second game of the season, while Adrian Peterson gets a fresh start in his first game for Arizona. We’ll see how that plays out today.
