The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had very good punt and kickoff coverage teams for years on end, and the addition of Bryan Anger last week took that to another level.
That other level was on display again today, as the Bucs and Giants started trading punts in the pouring Tampa rain. Ryan Smith did his thing for the second time in his short career: flipping back a punt from the goal-line to pin the opponent deep.
Special Teams are important too folks! Great work by #Bucs on punt coverage, PIN EM DOWN!#TBvsNYG pic.twitter.com/VN29gmllNw

It’s not as spectacular as the one he pulled off last year, but that doesn’t make it any less valuable. If the offense can’t score, you can always rely on Bryan Anger and the punt coverage to give the team a boost.
