The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been blessed by Brent Grimes’ presence this season, and he’s been a massive part of the Bucs’ strong performance on defense. He led the league in passes defensed coming into the game, and has so far added a few more — including a beautiful pick six to give the Bucs the lead.

This is what makes Grimes such a good player. He gave up a few too many catches early in the season, but has locked it down the last months, and he keeps doing the same thing: jumping quick outside throws. That window looks open, because he’s pretty far off, but he closes it because of speed and especially anticipation — and turns it into six points.
That’s Grimes’ fourth interception of the season, an impressive total for any cornerback, but especially a 33-year-old one. Based on his play this season, the Bucs would be very glad to have him back next year, even at his age.
