The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have to play the Carolina Panthers without defensive end William Gholston, who has not recovered from a dislocated elbow in time for today’s game.
That’s the only noteworthy player on today’s list of inactives, as the Bucs placed several injured players on injured reserve earlier this week, including running back Charles Sims. Doug Martin is suspended for violating the league’s PED policy and will miss the game as well.
The Bucs do, at least, get backup tackle Gosder Cherilus back for what will likely be his final NFL game. Demar Dotson is starting ahead of him, as he was cleared from the concussion protocol earlier this week.
As for the Panthers, they’ll be missing linebacker Luke Kuechly and defensive end Charles Johnson, both ruled out earlier this week. Cam Newton and Greg Olsen will play despite being listed with minor injuries, per Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.
