The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven't picked up any players off the waiver wire after initial cuts. The waiver wire was published at 1:00 p.m. ET today, with teams having to cut their rosters down to 53 men yesterday.
Usually, that leads to a flurry of teams claiming players who didn't make the final cut. That happened today, too, it's just that the Bucs didn't manage to pick anyone up. Either because they didn't like any of the available players, or because teams who were ahead of them in the waiver priority list picked them up before they could.
We could see some changes there tomorrow, though. Any team picking up a player has to waive another one, and those players then hit the waiver wire tomorrow. That process will keep cascading for a few days, and the Bucs might find a few players they can add to the roster that way. Or, they might sign some of those who were waived to a free agent contract, rather than assuming their old contract via waivers.
