Lose games, lose standings. Power rankings aren’t hard to figure out. Neither is the fact that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dropped another couple of spots in the power rankings after losing to what is probably one of the worst teams in the NFL.
Whereas the Bucs were ranked in the high teens just two weeks ago after beating the Atlanta Falcons, now they’re suddenly dropping into the 20s, and even the low 20s. Like SB Nation’s Adam Stites, who ranks the Bucs 26th.
That’s about where most of the other rankings have the Bucs, too. NFL.com has them 23rd, CBS Sports 25th, Fox Sports 25th, Yahoo! 25th, ESPN 28th even. You get the point: no one thinks the Bucs are any good anymore. That’s what a blowout loss to a good team, and a close loss to a really bad team will do to you.
The Bucs, meanwhile, will continue talking about a culture change. That won’t get them the respect of the rest of the NFL, though. Only wins will do that.
