The Tampa Bay Buccaneers know how to score touchdowns, at least they do this season. Jameis Winston leads the league with eight passing touchdowns, though his six interceptions take some of the shine off that statistic.
As for the team as a whole, the Bucs are currently tied for second in the NFL with ten touchdowns, behind only the Atlanta Falcons. That’s despite the fact that they have just two takeaways all season long, meaning few very short fields for the offense.
Slightly worrying is the fact that the Bucs are just 16th in total points scored, despite all those touchdowns. They’ve managed exactly 70 points with their ten TDs, thanks to a missed extra point, two missed field goals, and a pair of failed two-point conversion.
In other words: the Bucs are very good at turning their scoring opportunities into touchdowns, moreso than almost any other team in the NFL. Now if they can get everything else together, too, they might start winning some more games.
