The Atlanta Falcons play the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football tonight. The NFC South clash of the weekend, which will determine who gets to be king of the most pathetic division in the NFL. So far.
If the New Orleans Saints win, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would still be tied for first place in the NFC South. That’s slightly amazing to think about, what with the Bucs being awful and giving up a ridiculous amount of points the last two games. But they did beat the Falcons in week one, so there’s that.
If the Falcons win, they’ll be on top. Boooooooo.
It should be an interesting game, at least. The Saints have lost two close games in weird, last-minute fashion. The Falcons lost one close game and won one close game. Neither team actually looks all that good, especially on defense. Overall, these two teams are pretty evenly matched — which usually makes for good games.
