Cardinals take 7-0 lead against Buccaneers

The Arizona Cardinals took a 7-0 lead against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, just after the first quarter. Larry Fitzgerald easily beat Brent Grimes in the endzone, though there did appear to be an offensive lineman well beyond the line of scrimmage on that play.

The Bucs and Cardinals went scoreless in the first quarter, but that doesn’t mean nothing happened. Jameis Winston threw a pick on a deep ball, where Mike Evans may have been able to do a little more, but the ball was badly placed, too. And the Bucs offense actually made a few plays, but was too far removed from the Cardinals side of the field to do anything.

The Bucs have plenty of time to come back and win this game, and Jameis Winston has mostly looked ready to lead the offense down the field — but he’s also thrown a pair of interceptions, with the second to Vincent Jackson who wasn’t even looking in Winston’s direction. Stick with us as we cover the rest of the game.
