Vernon Hargreaves hasn't had much of a chance to show his skills this preseason, what with being mostly a second-string player who doesn't get thrown at, at least so far. Today, though, he made a pretty big splash with a beautiful interception. As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars were nearing the half in a tie game, Chad Henne attempted to force a ball -- and Hargreaves wasn't having it.

The @TBBuccaneers rookie CB comes up with a big INT! #TBvsJAX https://t.co/TNuN4ipj5U
That's a great interception. Hargreaves does exactly what he's coached to do: backpedal into the zone, keep his eyes on the quarerback, and try to feel the receiver behind him. That allows him to come right under the receiver's route, and show off his athleticism by grabbing that ball right out of the air. If he keeps making plays like that, he won't be with the backups for long.
