Kenny Bell doesn’t care about statistics

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Minicamp Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers website is periodically producing some nice video interviews with some of their players. The latest one has Casey Phillips interviewing everyone’s favorite second-year receiver, Kenny Bell.

Bell talked about going to every meeting and practice while on injured reserve (“I probably was the only person in the NFL to do it”), his afro, his relationship with Jameis Winston and a lot more. One thing that stood out to me was how Bell approached his personal goals for the season — it’s a cliche answer, but it’s a good and seemingly genuine one.

“I’ve never really set personal goals for a season in terms of catches and yards,” Bell said. “I know that people say that it really helps and that it gives you something to shoot at, but I just wanna win football games with this team. I truly enjoy this organization, I truly enjoy my teammates, the coaching staff. I really just wanna win, I wanna win so bad. That’s what I would like to make happen this year.

The entire interview is worth a watch, so get to it, if you can.
