The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a more or less complete roster, but they’re not entirely done adding players to the roster. In previous years, they’ve added some key players early in the season and late in the offseason — players like Logan Mankins and Joe Hawley, for instance.
Talking to Steve Duemig of 620 WDAE, Licht confirmed that the Bucs continue to look at potential free agents. We have talked about every player you can think of, and we continue to,” the Bucs general manager said.
Licht didn’t go into a ton of detail in the half-hour conversation, but praised Jameis Winston, Kwon Alexander and Noah Spence repeatedly and in detail, emphasizing their work ethic and Spence’s “chip on his shoulder”.
Some other players he talked about positively: William Gholston, Alterraun Verner, Brent Grimes, Johnthan Banks, Roberto Aguayo and Jude Adjei-Barimah
Of course, Licht isn’t about divulge some insider knowledge or be negative about his own players, but it’s still an interesting listen. If you have half an hour or so, maybe spend it listening to the Bucs’ general manager holding forth on every topic under the sun.
