Which Buccaneers collapse still keeps you up at night?

What was the worst Tampa Bay Buccaneers collapse you can remember? ESPN listed the top 25 sports collapses in history a few days ago, and they surprisingly did not mention anything remotely connected to the Bucs — except for perhaps the 2002 New York Giants collapse in the same playoffs that the Bucs would win. But that got me thinking about some Bucs collapses, and which one was the worst that I can remember.

The Bucs have managed to blow quite a few leads in recent seasons, but none of them really stand out — though the game against Washington, Kirk Cousins’ “You like that?” coming out, was pretty ugly. None of them match the 21-point lead the Bucs blew in five minutes against Peyton Manning in 2003, though.

Fresher in my mind: the four-game losing streak at the end of 2008, when the Bucs could have made the playoffs. Derrick Brooks was on his last legs, but the Bucs just needed one win in the final month or so, and they just couldn’t pull it off. That collapse got Jon Gruden fired, which led to the ensuing near-decade of suck. Not that Gruden was all that great, but his work sure looks a lot better now than it did at the time.

Those are three of the collapses I could think of off the top of my head. This franchise has a lot of collapses, though, and some of them are quite old. Which one still keeps you up at night?
