The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are right in the middle of the offseason, and the end of June is basically the only time of year the NFL news cycle is dead silent. Which means we get to talking about the regular season. NFL Network tackled one of the more interesting talking points: what’s the game you’ll circle on the calendar?
The NFL Network crew offers week four against the Denver Broncos and week five against the Carolina Panthers, the Super Bowl champions and runners up. But the Broncos have lost a lot of talent, most notably at quarterback, so I’m not too sure why you’d look to heavily towards that game. The Panthers are the team to beat in the division, so that makes a lot more sense.
But for me, the game to circle is always in week one. The Bucs travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, a team that is pretty similarly built and in a similar situation: talented, with a good quarterback, but coming off a disappointing season. More than that, though, it’ll be our first opportunity to see the revamped Buccaneers. If they come out of the gate firing, this should be a good season. If they falter yet again, we may be looking at another disappointing season.
Here’s the full Bucs schedule. Which game are you most looking forward to?
