Johnthan Banks is really happy that Lovie Smith is no longer the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach, and he's not afraid to show it.
It's nothing like having a coach that actually wants you on his team!!

This isn't the first time Banks took to Twitter to throw some shade at his former coach, either.
@markjl33611 @CommishOnline @mikey1088mike that lovie stuff is over and done everything happens for a reason I'm ready to come back and ball

Banks was repeatedly benched by Lovie Smith but still managed seven starts last year, in part because the secondary was hit with injuries, and every cornerback outside of Sterling Moore played terrible football. When Banks did get on the field, he didn't exactly cover himself in glory either.
The Bucs hope that new defensive coordinator Mike Smith and new defensive backs coach Brett Maxie will energize Banks and Alterraun Verner, who was also benched several times last year. Banks enters his fourth year and is scheduled to be a free agent in 2017, so this is as good a time as any to ball out.
