The New Orleans Saints are struggling with some injuries, it seems. Three injured players were held out of practice today after being limited on Wednesday: tackle Terron Armstead, running back Mark Ingram and center Max Unger.
It’s not clear how likely these players are to suit up on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but their absence suggests they’d at least be affected by those injuries if they do take the field. Wide receiver Michael Thomas also missed his second consecutive practice, and is unlikely to suit up.
As for the Buccaneers, their status was virtually unchanged from yesterday’s. Wide receiver Adam Humphries was able to participate in practice on a limited basis, which suggests that he has a chance to pass his concussion test before Sunday’s game.
Other than that, safety Chris Conte, tackle Demar Dotson and tight end Luke Stocker missed Thursday’s practice with injury and are unlikely to play on Sunday. Gerald McCoy continues to struggle with a foot injury, but should play against the Saints.
