The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have another player mourning the loss of a loved one. Defensive end William Gholston lost his father to cancer last night, he announced on Instagram.
It's a celebration, I would like everyone to remember the good times of my father. Every happy moment every smile every laugh he had and extremely hard battle with cancer. I'm feeding off of the moments where he changed lives well wishes are appropriated. But don't be sad he Deacon William T Gholston will live in each person he reached memory. Thank you in advance.
Gholston is at least the fourth player to lose a loved one during the year, though there’s likely a few more losses we never heard about.
It’s not clear whether Gholston will play against the New Orleans Saints tomorrow, both because of his tragic loss and his dislocated elbow which has kept him out of practice this week.
Our thoughts are with Gholston and his family.
