The inactives for their game against the New Orleans Saints and, as expected, they’ll be missing three key starters on offense: right tackle Demar Dotson (concussion), slot receiver Adam Humphries (concussion) and tight end Luke Stocker (ankle).
The Bucs will start veteran Gosder Cherilus in Dotson’s place, while veteran Brandon Myers should take over most of Stocker’s blocking duties. Humphries is likely to be replaced by a platoon of every active receiver on the Bucs’ roster, most notably Russell Shepard and Josh Huff.
As for the New Orleans Saints, they’ll be missing a few key players, too. Starting center Max Unger is out, as is wide receiver Michael Thomas. Tackle Terron Armstead is ready to go, but that’s still a hefty blow to the Saints’ offense. Thomas has racked up 831 receiving yards in his rookie season as New Orleans’ most productive receiver. Unger has been their starting center all season and a key cog in the Saints’ dominant running game.
