Doug Martin, Mike Evans return to Buccaneers practice

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Arizona Cardinals Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers received some good news on the injury front: running back Doug Martin returned to practice for the first time since week two. The Pro Bowl back has missed the past six games with a hamstring injury, suffering a setback a couple of weeks ago, and his return should be a big boost to a running game that has gone through backs at a pace of about one every two weeks.

The Bucs also had Mike Evans back at practice today, participating fully after suffering a concussion against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday. He should be good to go for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears. Jameis Winston was also participating fully with a minor knee injury.

In less good news, the Bucs are still missing running back Jacquizz Rodgers, and left guard Kevin Pamphile. The latter has a concussion and will have to pass a concussion test before he’s allowed to practice, let alone play on Sunday.

As for the Bears, they were missing two players in practice today: running back Ka’Deem Carey and cornerback Deondre’ Hall.
