Mike Evans is really good at football. He leads the NFL in touchdowns with eight, more than any other Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver has had through eight games, and just keeps racking up highlight-reel play after highlight-reel play.
Evans also came to play on Thursday Night Football, even if the rest of the Bucs did not. He has nine catches for 104 yards and two touchdowns through three quarters, while every other Buccaneer has combined for 67 receiving yards.
His best catch, though, came on a play late in the third quarter. Look at this!
That catch is amazing. Ridiculous. Ludicrous. Beyond any catch I’ve seen this entire season, I think. Especially so because Evans gets hit hard as he comes down — right in the head. Without a flag. Because apparently that whole head-to-head defenseless receiver penalty thing was a fiction we dreamed up, at least when it comes to Keanu Neal?
Anyway, this was an awesome highlight in an otherwise pretty depressing game for Bucs fans, who still haven’t seen a Bucs team win in Tampa this season.
