Good news: Brent Grimes returned to practice for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today. The cornerback suffered a quad injury last Sunday in the win over the Kansas City Chiefs, and was absent from practice yesterday. That changed on Thanksgiving.
Grimes’ return to practice doesn’t mean he’ll necessarily to play on Sunday, though. Grimes was still limited in practice today, and it’s unclear whether he’ll be completely recovered against the Seahawks. If he can’t go, Alterraun Verner will likely get the start, with Josh Robinson playing in the slot.
As for the Seattle Seahawks, they saw Jimmy Graham and Richard Sherman return to practice today. Seems they just got a veteran day off yesterday. Safety Earl Thomas, defensive end Michael Bennett and cornerback DeShawn Shead are still out and have been all but ruled out for Sunday’s game, leaving the Seahawks very short-handed on defense.
