Bucs-Chiefs inactives: No Marcus Peters or Jacquizz Rodgers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs will both be missing a few key players in today’s game, which starts at 1:00 p.m. ET.

The Bucs had to deactivate left guard Kevin Pamphile (concussion), running back Jaquizz Rodgers and backup center Evan Smith due to injuries. That will force them to start fifth-round rookie Caleb Benenoch at left guard for the second consecutive game. Center Joe Hawley is back in action, though, which should give their offensive line a small boost.

Other than that, though, the Bucs are largely healthy. Most notably, Doug Martin is back and starting, and should be entirely healthy after still being somewhat limited last week.

As for the Chiefs, they get most of their injured players back, but they will be missing starting cornerback Marcus Peters, who has a league-leading five interceptions this season, and defensive end Jaye Howard. That should help the Bucs offense be productive, or at least turn the ball over a little less frequently than Kansas City’s opponents generally do.
