The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are setting up their first home win of the season as they lead 29-10 as the game goes to the fourth quarter.
That 29-10 lead is an understatement of how good the Bucs defense has been. They’ve forced four turnovers, two interceptions and two fumbles, as well as a safety. The Bucs defense has been suffocating, and the only touchdown they gave up came on a fluke hail mary at the end of the second half.
In other words: Jay Cutler and company h ave been completely incompetent and the Bucs are set to beat the Bears pretty handily, unless something changes massively in the fourth quarter. Which is a thing we’ve seen before, but seems unlikely this year.
And with that, the Bucs should have their first home win of the year. In Tampa. And a 4-5 record — not enough to salvage their season, probably, but enough to give Bucs fans some hope. Assuming the fourth quarter goes well.
