Doug Martin participated in practice for the second day in a row, albeit on a limited basis. Martin missed the past six games with a hamstring injury, suffering a setback after a month, and only returned to practice this week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter offered a word of caution today about Martin, though, noting that while he was practicing, the running back was still limited, and may not play or only on a limited basis against the Chicago Bears this weekend.
In worse news, the Bucs were still without running back Jacquizz Rodgers, guard Kevin Pamphile and wide receiver Russell Shepard today. Pamphile is suffering from a concussion and seems unlikely to be ready for Sunday’s game, which would push center/guard Evan Smith into the starting lineup at left guard.
As for the Bears, they were still missing cornerback Deondre Hall, but everyone else participated today, including running back Kadeem Carey. The latter missed yesterday’s practice with an illness, but has fully recovered.
