Buccaneers-49ers injuries: Doug Martin, Carlos Hyde ruled out

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers will be without their respective lead running backs when they face each other on Sunday. Doug Martin and Carlos Hyde have both been ruled out for Sunday on the final injury report.

The Bucs will start Jacquizz Rodgers in Martin's place, as they did in their last game, while the 49ers will turn to Mike Davis.

The 49ers are otherwise healthy, but the Bucs have a few other injuries. Defensive tackle Clinton McDonald and defensive end Robert Ayers have been ruled out as well. Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy was limited in practice throughout the week and is listed as questionable, while tight end Luke Stocker and wide receiver Cecil Shorts would return from injuries, giving a small boost to the Bucs' offense, which was hurt by Vincent Jackson being placed on injured reserve this week. Dirk Koetter also ruled out backup receiver Donteea Dye as not fit enough.

The Bucs continue to be a team plagued by injuries, which hardly bodes well for Sunday's game.
