The NFL starts its fourth regular season Sunday of 2016 today, with one early game already in the books: the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Indianapolis Colts in London, in one of those rare morning (afternoon at Wembley Stadium) games.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers don’t play until 4:05 p.m., so we’ve got plenty of time to watch a few other teams. Key game for the Bucs: the NFC South clash between the Carolina Panthers and the division-leading Atlanta Falcons. If the Panthers win, the Bucs would go back to sharing the NFC South lead — if they beat the Denver Broncos today. The latter may be a bigger problem than the former.
Other than that there are plenty of good games on tap. The Bills taking on the Patriots is usually fun, if only because it’s Rex Ryan vs. Bill Belichick, while the Raiders taking on the Ravens should be a competitive and high-quality game.
Here’s today’s schedule, and your open thread for the games.
