Joe Hawley suffers knee injury against Panthers, returns

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Arizona Cardinals Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Update: Nevermind, Joe Hawley is back in the game already.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just cannot catch a break on the injury front. It seems they’re losing players every single game. Today against the Carolina Panthers, center Joe Hawley is headed to the locker room with a knee injury, and the Bucs are saying he’s questionable to return.

The good news is that it doesn’t appear to be overly serious or long-term, which suggests he could be back for the next game, which is in two weeks. The Bucs have a bye this weekend.

The Bucs should get most if not all of their injured players back at that point. Robert Ayers, Gerald McCoy, Doug Martin, Luke Stocker and Clinton McDonald were all doubtful for this game and should be fine in two weeks. J.R. Sweezy is also eligible to come off the Physically Unable to Perform list at that point.

As for the game going on right now, the Bucs and Panthers are tied 14-14 in the third quarter.
