In the final game of the season, Jorvorskie Lane suffered what appeared to be a serious leg injury. He spent minutes down on the field and had to be carted off with an air cast, with Fox refusing to show a replay of the injury -- suggesting it was really serious. According to Stephen White it looked like a compound fracture.
That's tough for the fullback, who came back from an injury and suspension this year to play the entire season as the team's only fullback, and he's played well. He hasn't been involved much beyond just blocking -- he has no carries and just two catches for 13 yards this season -- but he's done what he needed to do.
We'll have to wait and see what the diagnosis is exactly, but it certainly looked like the Bucs will need to find a new fullback this offseason.
