The Carolina Panthers will be without Ted Ginn Jr. or Jonathan Stewart against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leaving them with Greg Olsen and Cam Newton as the only offensive playmakers of note. Mike Tolbert and Jerrico Cotchery should get most of the carries and targets, respectively. The Panthers will also be without starting safety Kurt Coleman.
These inactives were expected -- and they're still 11-point favorites, so most don't think this will impact their chances of winning all that much.
Other than that, the Panthers are mostly healthy -- especially on defense, a unit that's been stifling this season.
As for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,t hey look to be mostly healthy, though that's in part because they placed Chris Conte, Major Wright and Vincent Jackson on injured reserve earlier this week. The Panthers don't have the "luxury" of doing that with their injured players, since they still have playoff games to come.
The Bucs will once again deactivate right tackle Gosder Cherilus while starting Demar Dotson at right tackle, as they did last week. Keith Tandy will start at safety for Chris Conte, while receiver Donteea Dye will start in Vincent Jackson's place.
Buccaneers inactives: QB Ryan Griffin, RB Mike James, LB D Eubanks, DE Kourtnei Brown, T Gosder Cherilus, TE Tevin Westbrook, TE Brandon Myers
Panthers inactives: RB Jonathan Stewart, RB Fozzy Whitaker, WR Tedd Ginn Jr., S Kurt Coleman, LB Jerod Mayo, WR Kevin Norwood, DE Ryan Delaire.
