Mike Evans injury: Buccaneers receiver practices, likely to play

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are likely to have Mike Evans back on the field on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, as the receiver hasn't missed a practice this week. Although he was limited and Lovie Smith has a history of being very careful with hamstring injuries, the fact that Evans was close to playing last week and he feels 100% means he's likely to suit up on Sunday.

Which should be good news for the Bucs, who dearly missed him against the Titans. Winston targeted his replacement Louis Murphy three times but couldn't connect once, and managed only three completions to receivers not named Vincent Jackson. Getting Evans back should help Winston just a little bit against a depleted New Orleans secondary.

Meanwhile, the only players to sit out the third practice and who are almost certain to miss Sunday's game on th Bucs' side were defensive end T.J. Fatinikun and linebacker Danny Lansanah. Everyone else is likely to play on Sunday, including linebacker Bruce Carter and cornerback Mike Jenkins.

We'll have the full injury report as soon as it's available.
