The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a little more healthy than they were last week. Bruce Carter was upgraded to full participation today, so he should be ready for Sunday's game regardless of what happens -- which is good, given that Danny Lansanah was still limited today after suffering an ankle injury on Sunday.
The one player everyone's interested in, though, is Mike Evans. He was limited again today, as he was yesterday, but he told Greg Auman that his hamstring was "100%". If it were up to Evans alone, he'd play on Sunday -- but Lovie Smith makes the final decision. His participation looks more likely this week than it did last week, though, and he was fairly close to playing that time.
In addition to those injuries, the Bucs had cornerback Mike Jenkins limited again, while safety Major Wright and defensive end T.J. Fatinikun continue to be out. Neither of the latter two is likely to play, while Jenkins' status is severely in doubt.
As for the Saints, they're missing starting defensive backs Keenan Lewis and Jairus Byrd, while linebacker Dannell Ellerbe wasn't able to suit up either. Lewis has a long-term injury and won't play on Sunday, while Byrd missed the entire offseason and is closer to a comeback. Their absence is a hefty blow to an already shaky defense, which is good news for Jameis Winston. C.J. Spiller was limited for the second straight day and is likely to play on Sunday. All four of these players missed last week's game.
