The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got lucky with their injuries: Mike Evans practiced today and plans to play on Sunday, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times. The receiver hadn't practiced since week two of the preseason because of a hamstring injury, but it seems he's close to recovered from it.
Still, Evans is likely to be officially classified as a game-day decision, and even if he can go on Sunday he may not be 100% -- hamstring strains tend to linger and affect players' quality of play.
The Bucs weren't entirely healthy, though. George Johnson was missing today with an illness, but he should be ready for Sunday, according to Auman. In addition, defensive end T.J. Fatinikun (shoulder) and cornerback Mike Jenkins (undisclosed) were out today, again per Auman. Fatinikun has missed every practice this week and is extremely unlikely to play on Sunday, which means that new addition Kourtnei Brown should get some playing time on Sunday. Jenkins' status is up in the air, but with the addition of Tim Jennings and the presence of Sterling Moore his absence shouldn't be too noticeable.
Mike Evans is officially listed as questionable, as is Mike Jenkins. George Johnson is probable, but T.J. Fatinikun is officially out.
The Titans are about as healthy as the Bucs. Nose tackle Sammie Lee Hill is out, while cornerback Jason McCourty is listed as doubtful. Center Andy Gallik, cornerback Perrish Cox and running back Antonio Andrews are questionable.
