Bengals vs. Buccaneers: Predict the game!

David Manning-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings, but showed plenty of promise -- as soon as the backups came into the game, at least. On Monday night, the starters get a retry against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night.

Those Bengals have been basically the same team ever since drafting Andy Dalton: always good enough to make the playoffs, never good anything once there. Which is still miles ahead of what the Bucs have done over that same period, which is mostly just lose games. But with Jameis Winston in town and the defense in a second year under Lovie Smith, the Bucs hope to finally turn around the franchise.

This game, or at least the starters-vs-starters matchup should be a decent indicator of how likely the team is to do some damage this season. I'm not too optimistic they can produce a good showing against a fairly tough Bengals team that did very well against the New York Giants in its first preseason game. So my prediction is the Bucs get trounced fairly thoroughly, especially on depth once the backups get into the game.

But I'd like to know what you think. Will the Bucs be able to beat the Bengals? How will Jameis Winston look? Give us your prediction for the game!
