The Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw Logan Mankins return from injury today, in a practice that was delayed for hours because of lightning. Mankins resumed practice after missing two days with an illness. In addition, cornerback Sterling Moore returned as well after missing one day with an undisclosed injury, Unfortunately, safety Chris Conte, defensive end T.J. Fatinikun and of course, defensive tackle Akeem Spence remained out with their injuries. All of that per Greg Auman.
The Bucs also waived punter Spencer Lanning after signing Karl Schmitz. This is the second time the Bucs have waived a punter after signing a new one this offseason and curiously, neither time Michael Koenen was the sacrificial lamb. This might be a sign that Koenen's going to stick even with his ridiculous salary.
