Buccaneers sign cornerback Jude Adjei-Barimah

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will sign rookie cornerback Jude Adjei-Barimah out of Bowling Green, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times. The 5'11", 200 lbs. undrafted free agent hasn't been with an NFL team so far this offseason, outside of a tryout for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Adjei-Barimah had a slightly eye-popping 82 tackles as a senior, which is a fairly ridiculous amount for a cornerback. That number suggests that he's pretty good in run support, and may have the physicality needed to play in the slot.

The Bucs had two roster spot open ahead of training camp, which are now filled with Adjei-Barimah and the re-signing of Da'Quan Bowers.

In addition to those two signings, the Bucs also placed rookie safety Derrick Wells on the non-football injury list. This means he can't practice while he rehabs from an undisclosed injury, but he'll still count against the 90-man roster.
