NFL Calendar: Key Dates for the 2015 season and 2016 offseason

The NFL released its offseason calendar, and we've got the key dates for the 2015 NFL season and the 2016 NFL offseason for you right here.

2015-2016 NFL Calendar

August 6-9: Hall of Fame Weekend, Canton, Ohio. Hall of Fame Game on August 9.

August 11: Special League Meeting, Hyatt-Schaumburg, Schaumburg, Illinois

September 1: Clubs must reduce their roster to 75 players before 4:00 p.m. ET.

September 5: Clubs must make final cuts, reducing their roster to 53 players, before 4:00 p.m. ET.

September 6: Waiver claims after final teams must be in before noon, ET. Practice squads and Reserve/Injured "designated for return" established.

September 10: First game of the year.

October 6-7: Fall league meeting, New York, New York.

October 16: Clubs can start having players on PUP and NFI practice.

November 3: Trade deadline, 4:00 p.m. ET.

November 4: Players with four credited seasons are subject to waivers until the end of the postseason.

January 3: Final week of regular season.

January 4: Clubs can start extending players drafted in 2013 and can start exercising options for first-round picks from the same year.

January 9-10: Wild card playoffs.

January 10: Playoff teams' assistant coaches can be interviewed for head coaching positions until the end of wild card games.

January 16-17: Divisional playoffs.

January 17: Playoff teams' assistant coaches can be interviewed for head coaching positions until the end of divisional playoff games.

January 18: Deadline for underclassmen to enter the draft.

January 23: East-West Shrine Game, Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida.

January 24: Conference championship games.

January 30: Senior Bowl, Ladd-Peebles Stadium, Mobile, Alabama.

January 31: NFL Pro Bowl, Aloha Stadium, Honolulu, Hawaii. Assistant coaches participating in the Super Bowl can have a second interview for a head coaching job prior to the Super Bowl.

February 7: Super Bowl 50, Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, California.

February 22: Franchise tag period starts

February 23-29: NFL Scouting Combine, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana

March 7: Franchise tag deadline, 4:00 p.m. ET.

March 12-15: Free agency negotiating period, starts noon ET. No contracts can be executed yet.

March 15: League Year and Free Agency Period begin at 4:00 p.m. ET, allowing teams to sign unrestricted free agents. Trading period begins.

March 20-23: Annual league meeting, Boca Raton, Florida.

April 4: Offseason workout period starts for teams with new head coaches.

April 18: All other clubs start offseason workout programs.

April 22: Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets.

April 27: Deadline for clubs to exercise right of first refusal to restricted free agents.

April 28-30: 2016 NFL Draft.
