It seems that Jameis Winston hasn't completely beat out Mike Glennon yet: today, Glennon was working with the starting offense while Winston was with the second team, per Greg Auman. But Lovie Smith apparently said that Winston has been working with the first team as well, meaning this is probably just part of the rotation. Regardless, Winston will eventually win the starting job (or be gifted it) before the start of the season.
Ali Marpet was at practice this week after missing most of last week with a hamstring strain. But Marpet isn't working with the first team yet: according to Greg Auman, the starting offensive line featured Garrett Gilkey of all people at right guard. Yes, that Garrett Gilkey -- the one who may have been the worst player on the worst offensive line in the NFL last year.
In better news, rookie left tackle Donovan Smith did get in work with the first team, ahead of Kevin Pamphile who had been practicing there last week. That was only a matter of time, but it's good to see it's happening this early -- even if it's just a daily rotation, Smith is at least working his way in there.
Bucs players held out with undisclosed injuries: LB Larry Dean, C Josh Allen, LB Quinton Alston, CB Deshazor Everett, G Antoine Everett.
