Mike Evans injury: Buccaneers receiver returns to practice

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw Mike Evans return to practice today after leaving OTAs with a hamstring sprain on Thursday, Scott Smith noted on Twitter. That's good news, obviously. Apparently his injury was indeed minor, and hamstring injuries are pretty common in the NFL anyway. Amusingly, Evans suffered a more serious hamstring straing last season but had no problem suiting up for nearly the entire season, playing very well indeed.

No news on Ali Marpet's tweaked hamstring, though, which may be a bigger issue given that he's a rookie lineman who has no experience playing against even Division I competition, let alone NFL players. We'll have to wait and see how that develops.

Meanwhile, this is what Jameis Winston looked like in practice today.
