With the 231st overall pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have completed their 2015 NFL draft class by drafting running back/fullback Joey Iosefa out of Hawaii.
Iosefa's pretty huge for a running back, and even for a fullback at 6'0", 247 lbs. He put up a whopping 30 reps on the bench press at the combine, but his 5.02-second 40-yard dash makes one think he's very unlikely to actually run the ball much at the next level. He should compete with Jorvorskie Lane for a roster spot.
Here's what Lance Zierlein had to say about him:
One-speed running back with some weight behind his pads, but not enough explosive power to offset his lack of burst and overall athleticism. Could struggle to find a home as an NFL running back and might need to take a look at playing fullback.
One issue: Iosefa was suspended for three games and stripped of his captaincy after a DUI arrest last year. That's a pretty hefty punishment for someone whose athletic skills aren't all that. I have a hard time seeing him make the roster, honestly, but who knows?
Here are the full draft results for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
