The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' new franchise quarterback grew up as a Philadelphia Eagles fan. That's what he told the local media after his press conference today, per Greg Auman.
Jameis Winston said he grew up an Eagles fan -- loved watching old highlights of Randall Cunningham, liked Donovan McNabb as well.

New Bucs QB Jameis Winston grew up loving Randall Cunningham, but Eagles fans won't like this quote: "His heyday was with the Vikings."

More Jameis Winston on his childhood Eagles fandom: "Of course I loved Donovan McNabb. He was the man. I just liked the Eagles."

Well, Winston can't help who he liked early in his life, but I'll say he had some lousy instincts, there. And that was mostly during the time that the Eagles were good, but not quite as good as the Bucs. Especially that one time. I think it was in 2003. Something with an NFC Championship Game and Ronde Barber. I don't know. I can't remember the details.
Anyway, Winston used to be an Eagles fans. Cute detail. And now he gets to win games for the Buccaneers, while the Eagles are stuck with Sam Bradford. Enjoy, Eagles fans!
