NFL Draft Rumors: Buccaneers turned down Eagles offer that involved Sam Bradford

Phil Sears-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could have traded the number one overall pick to the Philadelphia Eagles, but their offer never tempted the Bucs to pass up jameis Winston. Because this is what they offered:

That's...not all that much, honestly. The Eagles' first-round pick is number 20 overall, and one more first-rounder and a third-rounder aren't nearly enough to tempt anyone. Add in a quarterback and a quality player and you might get someone to think, but the fact that quarterback is Sam Bradford on an expensive one-year deal will make anyone un-think very quickly.

I mean, I assume it's Sam Bradford. I'd hate to think it was Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow. Because that'd be really laughable.

So, tough deal, Chip Kelly. But the Bucs got the guy they wanted, and your offer wasn't remotely good enough. That's life.
