Marcus Mariota is holding his pro day today, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are attending, as expected. Jason Licht will be there, as first reported by Pewter Report, and Tom Krasniqi reports that quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian will also be there.
Mariota's pro day isn't that important given that he did everything that was asked of him at the NFL Scouting Combine, so the Bucs probably won't learn anything new. And the timing of this pro day is terrible, given that it comes on the third day of free agency and the Bucs are in the middle of talks with several free agents. Still, you kind of have to be at a potential first overall pick's pro day.
Mariota is expected to visit the Bucs later this month, as Jameis Winston did last week. That's going to be much more important, as the Bucs will have a full day (and then some) of one-on-one time, where they can talk to Mariota and work him out in whatever way they want to.
