Tracking Buccaneers combine interviews

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL Scouting Combine is under way, and that means the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to be interviewing lots and lots and lots of players. And that means we're going to track them, even if they're not all that noteworthy. We won't hear of every interview, but some will come out. Don't read too much into them, though: these are quick, 15-minute meetings that basically the Bucs want some questions answered. That's all.

Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston: Marcus Mariota said at his press conference he hasn't yet met with the Buccaneers, but the Bucs have made it clear they want to talk with him and Jameis Winston so that'll happen at some point.

Connor Halliday: According to Dan Kadar, quarterback Connor Halliday said he has met with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.Halliday put up some pretty great statistics at Washington State, but broke his leg toward the end of his senior season. He has good size, but has mostly been a spread quarterback throwing on basically every down under Mike Leach. He should be a mid- to late-round prospect.

Offensive linemen: The Bucs have met with a whole bunch of offensive linemen, to absolutely no one's surprise. Missouri offensive tackle Mitch Morse, Penn State tackle Donovan Smith and Florida State guard Tre Jackson are some of the players they've met with, according to Justin Pawlowski of Scout.com.

And that's all that's leaked so far. We'll add more notes as they come in.
