The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a terrifyingly easy 2015 schedule, if we can by teams' 2014 results. Which we can't, really, because the NFL fluctuates a lot -- but it's a better indicator than nothing. According to CBS Sports, the Bucs will face opponents with a combined 2014 record of 108-146-2 or .425, which ranks 29th in the NFL.
That's a really easy schedule, in large part thanks to the NFC South's absolutely abysmal performance last year. Predictably, the other NFC South teams also have an easy schedule: the New Orleans Saints rank 28th, the Carolina Panthers rank 27th, and the Atlanta Falcons rank dead last.
This should not be all that surprising: the Bucs face only three playoff teams next season, and aside from their weak division, they also face a very weak AFC division in the AFC South and get to play the last-place finishers in the NFC. That's not a recipe for a difficult season.
Of course, this is an imperfect indicator. The NFL sees a lot of variation in winning percentage from year to year. But it's still a weak indicator, and it suggests that returning to winning ways may not be as difficult as people think.
